The latest engine was produced by a total of 668 engines delivered with up to 360 hp. A new chapter began with a newly built factory focusing on reduction gearboxes and rotary propellers.
That the engine factory at Finnøy had satisfied customers shows this letter from Johan Giske, dated November 20, 1918:
Mr. Nils N. Finnøy,
On request, it is announced that the Ørsten Cement & Concrete foundry, here, has bought from your company a 180/200 HK. 4 cyl. ship engine for our concrete ship.
Before we bought this engine, we obtained all of the experts' opinions about the different domestic and foreign engines, and we were definitely recommended to buy a "Finnoy engine", especially then by Veritas surveyor and the Marine Account's reprehensive representative, and of the many recommendations we Since then, we have been strengthened in our choice, and the Executive Board agrees that in future only use the "Finno engine".
